What makes this ring so special?
Emeralds, especially fine Colombian ones, almost always have inclusions (called "jardin").
They’re also more fragile than diamonds or sapphires, which makes cutting them risky.
Cutting a round shape wastes more of the rough stone and increases the risk of cracking or breaking it. Round cuts require removing a lot of material to create perfect symmetry, also it demands precise symmetry and proportion, which is hard to achieve on a stone that is already naturally delicate.
